Built Green™ BC Builder Training Workshop
This course contains an in-depth review of building science issues and detailed discussion of sound building practice. This course is compulsory to become a certified Built Green™ BC Builder and a licensed R-2000 Builder.

Certified Energy Advisor
This workshop provides training on the use of the HOT2000 software which is used to model house plans within the Built Green™ BC & R-2000 programs. This workshop is for those who wish to become third party advisors to builders building Built Green™ BC homes including certified R-2000 homes. Plan evaluators perform HOT2000 energy analysis of house plans and play a key role in the quality assurance process for labeling Built Green™ homes and certification of R-2000 houses. Training is also provided on the blower door test equipment and procedures.
Requirements for participants:
- Demonstrated understanding of building science and construction practice;
- Understanding of residential mechanical systems;
- Access to and familiarity with a laptop computer capable of running the latest version of HOT2000 software, which will be provided to you at the course;
- The 2-dayBuilt Green™ Builder Training Workshop is a prerequisite for this course.
